Axe can allow you to cut branches on trees to provide traction under tires.

If you wheel with other rigs is really the safest way and should be the only way during the winter were conditions are cold.
Wheeling with chains can lead to flat tires. Only a good idea for on road type driving, if your tires aren't big enough and tread isn't good enough for snow and ice you shouldn't be in that situation to begin with. Chains may save your ass but if your going off road with them you may want to rethink your route and plan. Stay safe.

Chains can get you unstuck in deep snow. Not saying you should wheel with them but they will help recover your vehicle.

Good for pinch but if your with other rigs as you should be and carrying recovery gear as you should be, then its better to just pull each other out. Saves time and energy. That's why I use to carry a come a long before the winch.come up this weekend and you will surely see some quick snow Recovery's from us. I almost always end up getting stuck.lol.I kinda make it my goal now with the winch to see how far I can push the taco In The snow.
Don't be young and dumb and wheel alone trust me been there done that, there's to many bad stories already and we want to continue to be able to play in the snow. Let's promote safe responsible wheeling. Help keep are trails open and allways be prepared.

I don't wheel alone anymore. Benefit of TW. Lots of local friends to wheel with but I still have everything I could possible use in my truck and my wife jeep to get myself out of a pickle. I have rescued 3 vehicles this month on the road in jeep and truck. I also have food and water and sleeping bags in the truck and jeep.

Pulled a buried 4runner out this weekend. I ended up using my collapsible shovel and the folding traction boards and the wheel blocks that strap on plus my tow strap and I had to put the jeep and low and lock the diff. Below is the third attempt to pull the 4runner out. And this is in a parking lot.

threatening day into a good old I got saved by some nice guys in Toyotas. Lol.
Ya I learned the hard way when I was young about wheeling alone, unprepared. It is one of the dumbest things I've done and live to tell about it.

The best methods for that is to snap him out. Takes a couple of snaps but will work every time with a little digging at most. Most people don't like to snap or as we call it bump them out. I wouldn't recommend it for your jeep though it will put to much stress on the uni body. You bend that and she is totaled.
But you know I'm lmao at that parking lot recovery right. And was that Dillon in the 4 runner?

Yeah wasn't a great situation for snatch recovery. Plus the 4runner weights a lot more then the jeep. Didn't know the guy. better picture of the rig

Ever see that video of that dude who I guess thought he had a KRR but really just had a normal tow strap and took a full speed run at a recovery and ended up taking his bumper clean off? Haha

Lol reciever ball. You're better of to hook the strap into the reciever and use the pin to secure it. (Depending on how thick your strap is, this might not work)
But even that is a little sketchy.
You can also just unbolt the ball and put a shackle through the hole instead.
Regardless though, I just picked up a reciever shackle hitch. Had some time to kill at work and a 4x4 shop was just around the corner.

Next on the list is a hi-lift and few of the accessories including the winching kit.

I ordered sliders for my truck during the turkey sale, should be here in a few weeks. So up until now didn't really have much use for a hi-lift besides winching with it.

Defintely going to have to look into one of those KRR too. I just have a normal snatch strap.

Hook us up with a shopping list so we can add to it for you and others in the future can see what you have and base it off your list for their needs
