Hi all. Just joined the forum to learn more about the Tacoma. Looking to buy a 2016 model within the next few months, my first truck, but first I need to figure out what kind to get!

    Welcome to TW Joe.

What will you be using the truck for?

What area do you live in?

Anything particular you're looking for on a new truck?

What's important to you in buying a new truck?

    Budget?

Guessing these questions are gonna happen if you're looking for peeps to give some buying input.

Mainly looking for something to drive around town and some off-roading (mainly dirt roads/ rough roads that I wouldn't take my sedan on) to get to hiking trails and remote camp sites. Currently in the Arizona desert, but moving to the Pacific Northwest shortly.

    My main requirements are:
    4x4
full size bed (6 ft) for hauling gear
    smaller cab
best audio system available (it sounds like I can't get the JBL with the small cab, so I may have to go aftermarket for that.

    Budget is flexible :)

    Cheers

Sounds like a (DCLB) double cab long bed version TRD sport or TRD off road with the right package (whatever is needed for JBL) would work man.

Sticker around $40k-ish and may need some lead time unless you wanna travel to pick it up.
