What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

No way rear OME are 215 i just ordered some two days ago for 237! What the shit lol! Are you sure they are nitrocharger sports?

 

Whats the travel on the OME shocks?

You know what they were that price! I remember seeing that in my cart irk where I got 237 lol! What are you going to go with?

 

I'd rather stick with the suction cups than do that!

 

That I do not know but from the trails I 've done it's pretty good lol

 

Probably those, I know a bunch of people on here run them and it'll last until I get other stuff rolling. Just hope they fit, some reason my top mount is welded onto the top of the frame I've seen other guys mounted in about the middle of the frame

 

I'm sure they will! That one just might not have as much travel as the other side! What's the difference like 2 inches maybe?

 

Both sides are like that ha, but yeah about 2" probably. I'm relocating everything eventually haha

It was designed like that, I have one in the middle of the frame and one on top. The 1st gen uses different length shocks, think passenger side is the longer one.

 

Rear nitrochargers have 9" of travel IIRC. That's the biggest issue with them. Even on custom mounts, you'll most likely be limiting travel in at least one direction to make them work.

 

8 1/2" of stroke, just measured my old ones.
And yes, they are too short and will limit travel unless relocated. But they ride nice.

 

Most springs should get you more than 8.5" of travel. Custom mounts will make it better, but no reason to limit potential travel by using too short of shocks.

Huh didn't know that, thanks for clearing that up. Makes me feel better knowing the PO didn't try and do some more stupid stuff

 

However, these work pretty good on stock mounts and I have not bottomed out nor over extended them yet.

There not switch backs though. They stay on Amber all the time. But I have decided I'm going to get these so there not on while the headlights are on. Will this replace the current driver that the halos came with?
