Yup, Prem Tech and JBL, totally worth it! Not a huge audio guy so for me it's perfect but of course if your used to having twin 12' JL subs shaking teeth loose then you'll prob wanna do your own deal, but personally I didn't want to get it without prem tech, the heated seats and sunroof was really the only things I wanted out of the package. The BSM and the Park Distance just make you lazy to be honest but whatever...

This was my first JBL truck. My previous 3 were all stock-non JBL. I think going from one to the other, there is a world of difference. The JBL provides a much richer sound experience. I don't find myself having to crank the volume to hear and understand. The quieter cab helps with this as well, but the crispness of vocals and the overall range is superb.

You guys are making me wish I had the JBL, but let's see if I can figure out a decent aftermarket solution. I'm a fan of JL Audio, so going to look into that.

The base sound system was good enough for me. I'm 40 though so I guess that could have something to do with it. I mostly listen to music in short bursts. I would think the serious music people should aim for the JBL upgrade and the average person can skip it and never notice the difference.

I drove to a dealership with a limited on the lot just to check out the JBL (standard in the limited) system and determine if it was worth the extra $700.

I compared the JBL to another Taco they had w/o JBL and it was a world of difference! So I ordered a DCSB OR w/ JBL and just waiting for the truck to be built.

So I think you made the right call!

That is what I put in, with the matching mono amp. I wouldn't recommend put this in addition to your Jul sub unless you like to bump hard haha. Whenever someone sits in my rear seats they get a back massage.

If you have JBL then you should see the JBL letters on the bottom of your front panel screen

Did you put this on the driver or passenger side? Did you remove the plastic?

That's what I did. JL speakers & Sub with an Alpine amp and spent about the
same as I would have on the JBL for much better equipment.

It's on the passenger side. I did not remove the plastic, but I did have to put some spacers on the front to keep the sub from slapping anything.

Just some 35% tint to match the rears and some 285/70/17 Falkens…
I got my 2016 w JBL, and glad I did. I heard both of them before ordering mine. Glad I did. It sounds great. Awesome bass. Clean look, too...

Just out of curiosity, which JL speakers and sub (and box, I assume?) did you get?

That fit with the plastic in or did you remove it?

I honestly have no idea. I opted to NOT fuk with my brand new trucks electronics. I've
never done an audio install and this 40k+ truck was not about to be the one I tested my
skills on. :D I decided to leave it to the pros.

I think that's what I'm going to end up doing as well. Technically I know how to wire audio, but I suck badly at removing interior plastics and will likely break tabs and scratch the shit out of panels. I just need to find a high reputation shop near Seattle.

yep, all of that! They were insured and back all they do and have a great rep here. For the couple hundred extra
I probably spent it was done perfectly(I'm a picky mofo!) nothing left undone, looked exactly like I picked it up
    from the dealer.

Post some pics pls. That is the subwoofer box I am thinking of putting in. I thought it would not fit without removing the plastic bin.
