I agree with poster. Frontier looks kill it. Id say whatever you like is what id get. I too think the Tacoma looks better in and out but that is in my eyes. I do think interior is no question better quality in Tacoma but as I said I like the interior looks better. I rode in both also and really ride isn't a lot different. Tacoma is little more harsh and bouncy on roads that are more bumpy per say but on smooth roads or real rough roads the Tacoma to me actually was better. May wait till the 17 Honda Ridgeline comes out. it should be just like Suv ride. My 09 was great riding but off road not so good but for what you like may fit better

For the resale at least to this point the Tacoma has done better than all the others. I would assume this one will too especially as nice as it is.

I have had my 2016 for approximately one month now, and I am really enjoying it. I have never owned a truck before, nor had anything larger than a sedan. I think that the ride is quite good, and unless you are looking for a totally cushy suspension, it is a very comfortable ride. I took the Canyon and Colorado out for drives as well, and, to be honest, they were pretty nice. The Canyon, however, came in every shade of boring possible for color, so that was out (it's important to me)! The Colorado was, again, very nice, but there were issues with fit and finish, the steel bed, and the very blah styling. Again, none of these are reasons to not buy them if you just want a truck...but I wanted something that was well-built, comfortable, and looked nice that I can keep for 15 years.

I'm surprised nobody jumped on this. If you keep both trucks 4-5 years, I would guess the resale difference would be MUCH more than $2K. Hell, I was shopping for gently used Tacomas in the 1-3 year old range before I bought my new one last month. The price of used Tacomas was so hight, it was like WTF, might as well buy new.

Exactly why I don't think a used Tacoma sells for what people think it does. I too have looked for about a month now. Almost pull the trigger on a 2014 Tacoma. But didnt like the color 100%.

Both the Tacoma and the twins 2015 model are holding their value about the same. just about every resource site I find about projected resale value for 2015 models has the twins at about 1.5 to 2% lower then the Tacoma. which in the grand scheme of things.... is not much at all. really, currently ALL vehicles are having higher resale values anyway. I think thats going back to my statement from earlier, every car maker is putting out good product. It all depends on how well you take care of it.

If all I was looking at was resale value, then the Tacoma wins hands down on reputation alone. But the resale value is factored in when I say they are dead even.

I would be shocked if the chevy trucks are retaining value anything like the Tacoma is. But that's just how I perceive chevy products, no research involved.

I own a Rav4. Awesome little, well whatever it is. Great ride, good manners on road and decent gas milage.
