    Not much really. I set it at the distance I wanted to cut and then taped off my flares and fenders and marked them out. Then took my time with dremel and body chop saw. Painted the edges and covered with trim liner. I redid the trim liner after about a year using super glue to ensure it stayed put. Here are a couple posts from my truck thread with pics.
