    I over the ride. But if you have bumps and all already it might be pointless. Unless you think that you bottom out your suspension with the new bumps in.

    I don't think i will my calculations say 3" collapsed bump... So if I add that 1" spacer to the bump I think I'll be fine... I guess when I get the ubolt flip in and bump in I'll have to flex it to see if I'm right..:notsure:unless you can double check me...;)

    The only advantage I can think of (and I am not sure it is fact) would be that the longer shock might have better rebound/valve/stroke so the ride might be a bit better. But you could skip the relocate and run 11" shocks with a resi and get the same thing.

    The Icons I just put in have close to an11" stroke I'm just going to stick with my ubolt flip and longer bumps

    They give more lift than factors springs so I can only assume that they're a little longer

    I'm pretty sure it's the thickness and number of the leafs in the pack that gives you the lift

    Their not 2.5 inches thicker there is a little lift to them. But your only talking about 1-2 in length.

    Actually they are stock length. The increase in height comes from the pack thickness and a heavier spring rate that does not lay out like the factory springs.

    If I were to maximize my rear travel and maintain a leaf spring it would be a Chevy 63" spring under swap. But if I wanted to maximize my travel in total it would be a linked rear with coils.


    Also you did state an advantage to the relocation earlier in your posts that I missed. Relocating the tower will allow you to run the bigger 2.5 body shocks without the tires rubbing on the shock body.

    What the Dakars do have is thinner leafs. This is allowing them to flex more/further then the stock, repeatedly. This is where they get their travel. Also I have a spring under flip and longer shackles. Both are helping with the travel.

    Yes thinner leaves flex better but you still cannot go into negative arch without prematurely killing the springs life.

    You have a SUA? What springs are you running? An SUA with longer shackles is going to yield a lot better travel numbers and cycle much better then any spring over axle set up will.
