I'm gonna paint the chrome hardware and chrome bumper pieces on my OR. Does anyone know what type of paint I could use which will closely match the finish and texture of the plastic fender wells?

    Thanks!

No paint can essentially match the exact look of textured plastic. Likely a wrap would be the best option because you can buy that with a texture to it at times. Paint with a clear is gloss which won't be the same look. I am going to paint or buy the rear bumper pieces to colour match and wait to see what grill options pop up. I suspect a nice new TRD pro when it get released will be my choice. If not Bamf's is looking the nicest so far. Then just colour match the chrome trim to your truck, not black to slim down the grill size a bit. /imo

Last result would be a plasti-dip from a can because it never goes on smooth "ish" but won't be a long term solution.

I was hoping to plasti dip my bumper black this past weekend but Lowes was out. I think that will be ok until more bumpers come out. Plus it's cheap.

Also you'll want to sand the shit out of your chrome pieces and use a quality etching primer before you squirt paint.

Make sure you prep the surfaces well.

I was thinking the higher grade Rustoleum that's a medium finish, not matte, not gloss would match pretty well. I'm gonna take the bumper pieces off and probably media blast them before paint. If they fit in my ovens I might Cerakote them.

Blasting is the better option if you have access to that, go nuts.

    Look forward to pics.

I have a pretty standard sized blasting cabinet, so it's gonna be a tight fit. The grill is gonna be the worst part. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with it.

What's everyone doing for re-applying the decals? Cutting two sided tape, getting extra tape from dealers...?

Cerakote is an interesting idea. Duracoat might be a little easier to touch up if needed though.

The parts simply won't fit in the ovens I have. Otherwise I'd really consider it.
