What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I feel ya. While I don't dislike any of them, the '98-'00 is my least favorite as well. For now, learn to love it until you get rid of it.

I bought the truck used a month ago, read on here, ordered a fob, program the new fob to truck using the key cycle and door opening method.

You're fully justified as long as you go to the best front end... The 95-97 The 2001-2004 is acceptable as well if you're trying to look like 2nd Gen lite.

 

As long as we can all agree that the 3rd gen front end is the absolute worst I think the first Gen front ends all look decent, 95-97 is still the best though

 

Well the 01-04 is still my favorite lol! I really like the 95-97 though! just not enough to swap mine to it! Don't you ever insult a 1st gen..calling it such a horrid thing!!!!

01-04 is unbeatable.

 

Id like a 01-04 hood with a front that's flat like the old ones for my truck. I think that would look cool. If/when I ever destroy the front of my truck I'd strongly consider either 01-04 front end or one of those 2nd Gen front clips for the 1st gen.

 

Isn't it composite, not plastic? A guy at work has a 2nd gen and the bed is very interesting. It certainly doesn't feel like plastic but it looks like it has a regular plastic liner. But it doesn't need one since the bed won't rust.
