New member. Just bought a base 2015 access cab i4 2wd. Going to need some advice on lift kits (nothing crazy, just a few inches) and bed racks for ladders paddleboards etc. Cheers!

Lifts......many many options. stay away from spacers and blocks, will be cheapest option, but harsh on shocks. depending on budget........

inexpensive good option is new bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks up front, paired with either your stock springs, and you can set the adjustment clip on the billy at .85" or 1.5" (I think those are the measurements) OR you can get billy 5100 with new lift springs, billy set at zero, and the spring will add the lift, OME 884 springs may get you 2-2.25". Anything above 2.5" may require new upper control arms, anything above 3" puts your CV boots at bad angles, and likely to wear / tear faster.

In the rear, in order of ride quality, single add a leaf, 3 leaf progressive AAL, then new leaf pack. the 2 AAL options should bet 1.5" to 2" lift. Will want a new 5100 shock in the rear as well.

Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road (TW Vendor) can help with all your questions, also a lot of other great vendors on here as well.

    something like this.... http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/headstrong-kits-tacoma-05-6-lug.html

    Good luck, ask away

Thanks JimboAnz, that sounds great. I'll look up Headstrong. Not looking to go super high just high enough to accommodate some larger tires. Thanks for the info.

WELCOME! Might I suggest the Toytec BOSS or ULTIMATE 3" lift if you don't want something large. You will be able to run up to a 33" tire with this setup, or a Mid-travel kit. Frontrunner makes some nice racks and such along with thule. There is a group by on right now for racks at a cheaper TW (tacomaworld price).
