Tailgate anti theft... 2016

    I know the 2016 Tac will come with the locking tailgate... but, can we put a padlock on the hinge to prevent theft... previous models were kinda hard to lock because of the awkward hinge width...

    Why do you want or need a pad lock if it has a factory lock?

    Drill a hole into the hinge and get a padlock.

    Radiator hose clamp will throw a wrench into a quick rip off.
    Wrap it around the notched hinge

    Power tailgate lock. :proposetoast: There's a thread on here.

    Lock the truck and it locks the tailgate...and vice vesa.

    Choice Goodies
    Power tail gate lock in above link. Somewhat loud, but makes it idiot proof. I'm researching tail gate dampening materials now to reduce clunk noise
