The only thing I can think of is the fuse. You mentioned in your pm it was only a 10amp fuse in that came with your harness and typically for the 30" it should have been a 20 amp IIRC. Try a larger fuse and if that doesn't fix it let me know and we will get it sent to heretic to diagnose what's wrong.

Yeah it is a heretic harness. Its likely they just put the wrong fuse in to begin with.

Any update on noise-reducing trim? I'm just kind of living with it these days, but would love to surprise myself with a quieter drive to work! (moving the bar back still made a heck of a difference)

I had a big roll on order. The company kind of dropped the ball on shipping it so I canceled the order. Since then I am not convinced it makes much of a difference so I haven't pursued it much more.

Yeah the noise changes so much depending on how the rack is setup that it is difficult to nail down exact things that make it improve or worsen. Not to mention all the other things on the truck. I can't believe the extra noise I get now that I have a 3.5 BS wheel. Having the tires stick out of the wheel well made my noise go up drastically.

A few audio upgrades, tinted windows, remote start because it f'n hot in Texas! 6in Fabtech DB lift, 17x9 Fuel Trophy wheels, 315/70/17 Duratracs,BAMF 80in sliders w/kickout, Prinsu cab rack w/30in Heretic light bar, custom bedside decals, custom hi-lift jack brackets, US Offroad front bumper w/winch, bed rack with RTT, CB, Short wave base station, Ultra gauge, color matched grille surround, an ungodly amount of recover gear, ARB fridge, hood struts, RotoPax, traction pads.
    Update:

Installed a 20 Amp fuse in the harness and BAM! Works like a charm. Left it on for a while and checked the temp on the wires. They were warm but not hot.

Pics are with the truck pointed down hill so not a great example of the throw.

Here is a video I took earlier today. Not sure how well you can hear it but there is significant noise. I am not complaining. I knew this going in. We have just had a lot of request to hear what others are dealing with. Remember this is with the rack empty, wind deflector in the lowest position, with a 30 light bar, on a sunny day, temps in the mid 50's, 78% humidity, a slight cross wind, etc...

But to get expo points you need a Prinsu..
Mine is the loudest between 45-50 but it just sounds like im going into a strong headwind not like yours.. Have you tried moving your wind deflector up and down?

I just turn my radio up louder ;)
Do I get a bump in HP also? !
Not yet. It is currently on the lowest setting. I'm try it again with the rack loaded and see if that makes a difference.

Mine is at the middle setting and isn't bad until you hit 75mph then it's a little annoying, but turn the stereo up :D my tires are louder than the rack at 60 but I also have MTR's

I'm running 315/70/17 duratracs on 4.5 BS fuels. They don't get to loud but you know they are there.

I don't know if "Duratracs" and "not too loud" should be in the same sentence. They're pretty noisy IMO

They are the only tires I've ran besides stock, so I have a limited amount of comparison on this rig. But they are much quieter then my SS Thornbirds on my old ranger :notsure:
