Not digging around, I just remember him being snotty in that thread yesterday about how "techs don't have time to fine tune and if you want that kind of quality you're going to pay for it!" and then I read "we take our time and do it right and don't rush them in/out!" Lol. :goingcrazy:

    Anyways :threadjacked:

I think if you're working in a shop where your manager is all over your ass to pump jobs in/out without doing the job properly than its going to reflect poorly on you.

Your absolutely right. I should have never used the words "take our time". I should have said we work quickly and effeciently. I have next to no come backs. Yes and service managers are "all over our ass" to get the jobs in and out, that's they're job, to make money. Every shop is that way, they're there to make money. The best techs that can do good efficient work with little to no comebacks are the ones that customers and service managers want.

I'm done with this thread and the forum. You win. Ive closed my account. You stalked me from past posts and attacked. If somehow you feel you have made this forum a better place by "bullying" a very good Tech with 25 years experience in the indusry into leaving, you have succeeded. Onto your next victim.

    Moderators should have stepped up.

I've been on many of my other forms for many years. Never had a issue like this. Hate to say it but the Tacomaworld is one of the worst moderated forums I've been on.

Just out of curiosity, did you click the report link in his post that offended you? If you didn't then it's like expecting the cops to show up to your house to catch a thief without calling them. I'm not defending anyone here. Also, I've been on web forums for 16 years now and TW is by far one of the nicer forums. You get 100 people in a room and you're bound to find a few assholes. Why judge the entire hundred by the actions of a few?

Also, if you don't like someone, click on their name and click ignore. Every forum has this feature.

 Seriously? Was it that bad? :angrygirl:

I apologize for inquiring about yesterday's post that directly related to this post. I had no idea it was going to be so offensive and cause a nervous breakdown. It's the Internet. If you don't like something someone says, just ignore it and move on with life. I promise you I won't be the biggest asshole you'll encounter on the Internet.

It all depends who you have doing your service. A few years back I had Earnhardt Toyota agree do my timing cover leak tsb. 8 hours later I get a call to pick up my truck to learn they didnt do the tsb work, they just cleaned it up. They also proceeded to hand me a service estimate for $2,000 to fix a broken power steering rack (which is still perfect 50k later), replace rear shocks (again, not broken), cabin air filter (could have used a new one but they wanted $50), and a couple other things.

This was actually the dealer that convinced me to do all my own services from then on. All this was probably 3 years ago so I'm sure things have changed, this was just my experience with them. Glad they treated you right over there OP.
