I am picking up my first Tacoma, brand new, tomorrow. Needless to say, this old fart is pretty happy. This is my first truck since I wrecked an old '52 Ford as a drunken sailor in San Diego in '73. My feet and body have been dry now for over 20 years. I will probably check this site when questions pop up.

HA us old farts (61) should be buying Corvettes........Been there done that.....Back to Tacomas. A friend said to me recently, "I didn't know you were a truck guy" I said I am but I still need my roadster so I bought an MX 5. My motorcycle riding days are nearing an end. After 35 years I have not had a scratch. Not sure how long that will hold up. The Miata will do double duty as my "trike" when I sell the beast.

When I retired I just had to have a Corvette, I would not recommend that car (or any GM product) Its a poor mans super car. Demographic is clearly in the early 70's according to the Corvette Club here,,,LOL

This is my fourth Tacoma and will be a staple in my driveway as long as it is good to me.

Welcome and enjoy. Its nice sitting higher and the tech is what I like the most,

Regardless, welcome Skinner. I have owned Corvettes, Jeeps, F-150s, Expeditions, and Tundras in my 36 years of driving and I am very pleased with the 2016 Tacoma except for the transmission shift program. Ignore 75% of the whining and complaining on this forum and you will find some useful information here and there (and several rude people who need a knot tied in their ass, who say things they would never get away with face to face).

Welcome to the group. Had a Corvette myself but got rid of it for my Tacoma. Cool car but with my back and neck getting worse as the years go on, I just couldn't deal with getting in and out of it anymore.
