So I have to ask, why is there so much hate from the 2nd gens? I dont get it.... its basically the exact same truck. Not really much different. Yeah looks a little different, but its not like mustangs that do a COMPLETE redesign.

Gen3 design: Evolutionary instead of revolutionary. No hate.

You're new, so here's a history lesson. First gen hated second gen when it came out. In a few years, 1-3 will hate on 4.

It's the law of the west, so we all just cowboy up and move along.

I don't hate it. But I'll never own one.

It's too big (for me), less than capable for it's size (tow, cargo capacity), yet with that lack of capability it still has lousy MPG.

All for a piddly $35k or so.

If I want a real truck, there are better choices. If I want a smaller truck, (while it would be used) there are better choices. I don't have a need for new.

But please, keep the $ flowing, supporting the economy. I will to, just spending it on other things.........

Same reason first gen owners don't like second gen trucks.

    Different.

The big difference is only third gen owners whine about it and take it personally, and make silly threads.

Not a problem with the truck "per se" but the owners and some of the inane questions that have been answered ad nauseum.

"I'm a 90 pound weakling who has never fired a 12-gauge before. Will there be recoil?"

THAT is what we mock. We love the truck.

I would have bought one, but I can't get past the grill ... reminds me of a mudskipper/catfish face. Plus I couldn't afford it. ;)

Also funny the notorious 2nd gen folks like yourself who constantly lurk the 3rd gen threads... weird obsession.
