Does anyone know how many bulbs light up the heater and AC panel on a 95 Tacoma? Mine stopped working the other day. The AC button still lights up as do the rest of the dash lights, but all of the lights on the temp/fan/heat position/recirculate do not work. It seems to me that's too big of an area to be illuminated by a single bulb, and it's unlikely that all the bulbs burned out on the same day, so right now I'm thinking that something came unplugged. I guess I was just wondering what I'll be getting into before I tear it apart.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I have. There are 3 bulbs that fit in to the control board behind the knobs. Very simple to replace. Check the board 1st. There are 2 wiring harnesses that plug into the back of the board. They maybe loose. If not the bulbs are very easy to replace. Had to get them from Toyota dealership here in town. Auto parts stores did not carry exact replacements.

Give it a solid tap (with your fingers) to the face of the ac controls. In my 06 only one side would light up after I removed the stereo. If it does go out just tap it.

On my 2000 its a straight swap. No soldering or anything, the Tach and speedos are bulb 194 and everything else is bulb 74

I wish this forum existed 5 or 6 years ago. My 97 did the same thing and the dealer charged big bucks to fix it. Don't remember exactly how much, but I got robbed.

I took the front off the heater/ac panel on my truck and it looked like there is only one bulb that lights every thing up. The bad part is that the parts guy at the dealer says that it's not a replaceable bulb... He say's I have to order the $67 blower motor switch to that has the bulb in it.

Anyone have any experience with this switch? Where's the cheapest place to buy one of these online?

Looks to me with a little FAB work you can run some wires from another 12v source and install a bulb of a different size in the hole.I will let you guys know,,,mine is out too,and im thinking,,,,:D
