So i called the 1800# today and explained my problem about the harsh ride and the lack of payload capacity. The lady on the phone was very nice and understanding and gave me a case # and set up an appointment at the dealership where I bought my truck. I know this is going to be an uphill battle since not only is my truck an '09 but it is also a regular cab. She explained how they will problably want to see exactly what happens under load and I am prepared to take the trip to Home Depot and buy some sand bags to prove it to them.

I know that there are a couple people on this forum that got the TSB on a regular cab 4x4.

    Any pointers that should help?

    wish me luck.

    thanks

    Tag for update.

Would like to see what happens since the TSB actually does not include the Regular cab 4x4.

Also, who are these people that have gotten it done on their regular cab? The leaf spring part numbers are even different.

I think focusing on the safety issue with the shop manager was what worked for me.

I assume yours was the access cab that is actually called out in the TSB?

I believe the Prerunner/4x4 models were called out in the TSB...

Crew Cab and Access Cab. Not the Regular Cab the OP is talking about wanting to have done on his truck.

Everything I have read and been told is that the regular cab is not called out by VIN on the TSB because the springs are actually different with a higher load capacity that the AC and CC. That is why I think the OP is not gonna get the TSB done on his and if anything, he would get a warranty replacement if he actually has issues with his regular cab.

I have heard conjecture before of supposedly some regular cab owners getting the TSB, but as of this time it seems to be more internet rumor than anything else.
