I used to have a nice pair of Navy issued slip ons that lasted forever! We were required to wear them in the Cryo plant in case of a spill. The only downside was the expansion part would wear out over time and then they got pretty loose. The one thing I've learned over the years with work boots is to make sure you get ones that have lace holes and not lace hoops. I tie my boots pretty tight for work, I hate slop in my foot when I'm walking, especially up stairs and ladders, and pretty much every boot I've worn that had hoops ended up breaking the hoops. Like my last pair of Wolverines i got from the company boot truck, I got the high like 8" boots that come up way above the ankle, almost mid calf, all the hoops are broken on both boots so i can tie them down at the ankles and then use the holes at the very top, otherwise I just have a worthless ass boot now. Really need to get some new ones lol!

Wolverines aren't what I'd call quality..

I've never had a hook break, ever. Coincidentally, never owned Wolverine boots. I did buy a pair of super cheap Caterpillar brand boots back in high school, but I only used them to walk in hog shit.

Yea, I'm used to cheap navy boots that wear out after a year lol. Never spent more than $50 on a boot for work before lol. So I figured a $160 boot in the style I like should last quite a while. Little do I know (or think about) that the company that runs the boot van probably hikes the prices up because they know we are issues $150 boot vouchers. Sigh. Well guess what, ASSHOLES, I've got 2 vouchers now and I'm going to Redwings instead! (You guys aren't the assholes, the boot van is)

I use to wear Danners. I walk a lot at work and they wouldn't last more then 6 months. Leather boots are required so I tried the Salomon hiking boots and absolutely love them. They aren't all leather but enough to fly under the radar. Hella comfy and worth the money

I have never tried redwings , but I have been wearing rocky iron clad 8" for 10 yrs now they last about a good yr wearing then daily. There soles are super comfortable right out the box. But you can't go wrong with redwing , I have never heard anyone complain about them.

    Only go to 13s.

I had a pair of their shoes once, but way too small - couldn't make them work.

I have a pair of Redwing Heritage boots and they are one of the best pair of shoes I've owned. I have a pair of Asolo's that have lasted me 9 seasons in the vineyard/winery.

For everyday wear I like Salomon's. I just picked these up: http://www.rei.com/product/881784/salomon-x-ultra-low-ii-gtx-hiking-shoes-mens, probably the best model so far out of the 8 pairs I've owned. I go through a pair every 6 months.

    Need this gone.

US GENERAL rolling tool box. Never used - I only assembled it. Drawers slide great, can meet local with buyer.

$50 - half of new price.

Been wearing Ariat work hogs for the last few years. Decent price and decent wear. I am super hard on boots and can get about a year out of them. Can find them cheaper than what it shows here.

If it isn't claimed, it's yours!

I got a sweet deal on another box tonight so it's just taking up precious space.
