But I'm not +2, just OEM length. If I hadn't purchased them for a DB Tacoma, I probably would've went +2.

Have you set those down on top of your coil bucket yet ? I am curious if that flared round hole on top of the coil bucket is going to hit that center part before the outer part /the ring seats flush on top of the coil bucket ...make sense ? I have seen similar style mounts that use spacers like washers between the top on the coil bucket and the bottom of those... Has anyone posted photos of them installed yet ?

One guy has them installed. Looks like he used a single washer on each bolt.

I have to disassemble the entire front end to drop the coil overs out to throw these on. That's why @ckeene9 and I only cut my inner fenders when we realized it was going to be an all day event (LT problems) and that'd it'd be better to paint them before installing, removing and reinstalling.

Should have it wrapped up the 16th!

Same here, with my kit The CV's will not droop far enough to get the CO out and I have to get the bolt out of the bottom of the CO then pull it out at the bottom to be able to get to that last nut on the CO top hat apapter...hope that makes sense ? so I have to take the two bolts out of the bottom of the spindle to let the LCA droop out far enough. That makes it much easier to get to the lower CO bolt too w/o the axle being in he way. I've done it a few times now so pretty fast at it now.

I was thinking of two ideas to do with mine :

    1. Weld the appropriate thickness washer to the bottom of that ring so they are perm attached.

    2. Weld the 3 bolts from my CO top adapter to the adapter

That way all 3 of the bolts are fixed and I don't have to dick with getting a socket on that back one up inside the coil bucket, the spacers are solid on the bottom of the cross brace mount so all you have is 3 loose nuts to deal with on top of the coil bucket when working on it.

Ugh just realized I have to make a different intake before I can do my cross over brace, my K&N looks like it sits exactly where the brace will be :/ the only CA carb legal ones also interfere with that spot so this is going be another thing to remove before inspection grrr yay Californistan

Yeah I've definitely been leaning that way...but I don't have my OE stuff anymore it hit a dumpster about 8 yrs ago :/ but my only options are that or something like the URD intake that doesn't occupy any of that space...but I have a behind the grill log set up that I would have to kill for that...

which snorkel are you using the Hilux one ? That new ARB one is freakin huge and hideous :puke:

What exactly does the adapter on the race series do and why does it make it better than the other kit? Sorry not too familiar with that stuff.

Better ground clearance is the biggest gain.

Actually the reason the race series is stronger and has higher ground clearance is that is does not use an adapter, the uniball is in the LCA

I've seen you mention that issue before, do those come with a nylock or a mechanical lock nut on the lower uniball bolt ? ...loctite on everything ? It is not uncommon when your uniballs are brand new and super stiff, they don't rotate for shit until the Teflon loosens up a bit. When they are tight like that the bolt turns inside the uniball instead of the uniball itself rotating and it self losens those bolts.

I'm being dramatic. They have just what appears as a normal lock nut and washer. I've only retorqued them once so far, about 1500 miles on the kit maybe... but the washers were able to spin thats how loose they were. I loctited the bolts going into the spindle but not the uniball. Torqued it to 120 this time. We'll see how it goes.
Thanks for the info though, that makes sense.
