    yeh i just heard this on the new right now. they say the replacement will be a shorter gas pedal and also they will install a brake override. heard that on Fox11 news here in L.A. I wonder how long I would have to wait for that to be done, like would i have to leave my truck at the dealer overnight.

    Read the article again, it says 2005-2010 Tacomas. Look where the comma is. 2007-2010 is Tundras


    The recall includes 3.8 million vehicles, including the 2007-10 model year Camry, 2005-10 Toyota Avalon, 2004-09 Prius, 2005-10 Toyota Tacoma, 2007-10 Toyota Tundra, 2007-10 Lexus ES350 and 2006-10 Lexus IS250/350. Toyota officials said about 4 million vehicles would be covered, including new cars and trucks sold since September and others manufactured since the recall was announced.

    Hey its Audi all over again.

    Do these cars that go out of control have push button electronic transmissions or something?

    I had my old bronco in the 1990s take off because the throttle cable was rusted and it stuck. I simply put it in neutral and turned the key off.

    Heard this on the news this morning too. Still seems to me there's another component besides the floor mat interference.

    I'm just gonna wait until spring, roll my truck in and get the tranny lag ecm flashed, 4 leaf pack install and whatever else they cook up between then and now. Just get it all done at once.
