If you want to go to Best Buy, I know the installer at 83rd and Bell. He does a good job and cleans everything up real nice. Shit, he even cleaned up some lazy wiring I did in Sam's runner.

Sam just got the 5806V remote start alarm. Has a 1 mile range, 2 way remote and none LCD. Pretty nifty lil guy. @swalters

My viper 5806v is awesome. The remote tells me when I successfully and unsuccessfully started, locked and unlocked my truck. When my alarm goes off the remote lights up and makes an alarming noise telling me someone triggered my alarm. Johnny at the 83rd and union hills best buy did a fantastic job, cleaned up my light bar wiring and did it fast. I have no complaints. I actually can't believe I didn't install it sooner haha

Oh, I also have a function button I can set to do different things. Right now it's set to silently lock and unlock my truck, so my truck won't beep. Sometimes I like being stealthy haha

I used to have a 2 way remote start but the fob broke. Also I neve r understood why it would always run out of batteries in the middle of the night and start singing. Drove me nuts!

I would suggest keeping spare batteries where you keep your keys as well as in the center console.

And if the meter on the fob is saying low battery, just change it. Im serious about the middle of the night alarm. It was that way on my roommates back then also. I'd here that thing start singing and won't stop until its completly dead or the battery is pulled.

My final straw was in Cali, the alarm started to go off and my fob refused to work. I was in Cali on vacation. I ended up cutting the power to the speaker and then removed it when I got back home. I love remote starts, but hate that fucking fob.
