Unfortunately, I parked my sweetheart truck outside the apartment. Within an hour, somebody stole the tailgate. I am looking to buy a new/used tailgate. I know it's highly unlikely but is there anybody willing to sell their's?

Most people need their tailgates, but you can find them on eBay for very reasonably priced.

You never know, maybe someone is doing a flatbed conversion? Good luck, OP!

There's one for sale now, but IIRC it's $450. eBay is a cheaper option, was more my point.

    ;)

I think this is the first time I've actually heard of someone stealing the tailgate.

I mean, I've always HEARD about it, but it was always like "A guy's cousin's brother's uncle's sisters' great grandfather knew a guy that knew a guy that had their tailgate stolen."

You could try Craigslist, or the Buy/Sell/Trade threads. Or if you wanna spend a huge chunk of money, the Stealership. ORR you could get really creative and make a custom tailgate.

Either way, good luck and sorry about the steal. On the next one you get, try theft deterrents.

Ah, now you know somebody. Theft deterrents are definitely on my list next to the tailgate.

I've got a basically brand new Super White in my shop, but I'm a bit North of you and shipping probably would kill the deal.

Honestly I'd look at junkyard or on Craigslist for a used tailgate with camera. The tailgates quoted above don't usually have any of the hardware or camera, so your still looking at a few hundred dollars on top of the cost of the tailgate. Might be enough to use insurance. I was asking where you lived because I have a tailgate with a small scratch, but I'm not willing to ship. Good luck!

Watch craigslist in your area for a bit. Check out some junk yards, the trucks will get sent there with front end damage and the rear be fine.

Absolutely. It's just that I am new to the area. Moved from California to Florida recently. Need to go out and do some more research. Don't mind driving (a lot). :D
