Are there any documented cases of actual 3rd Gen Tacoma owners using Crawl Control to get unstuck?

I'm not talking about the Staged/Launch/Dealer/Demo videos that we've all seen. Tacoma buried to the axles in sand on a slope. I mean actual owners getting unstuck using the Crawl feature. I've been waiting for someone to post videos or a story and once again, you guys disappoint me. LOL!

I promise when my '16 OR arrives, I'll intentionally try to get it stuck and film the experience for interested parties. In the meantime, anybody got anything of this sort to share?

Saw this one last week...craw control in sand on level ground. Closer to what actually might happen in real life.

Subbed!! This is exactly what I've been wanting to find. I plan on making my own video. Don't have to worry about sand around here (Kansas City, MO - Go Royals!!, Chiefs too!!), but snow at times and mud yes. They do plenty of mud runs so I thought I'd go see how crawl does in the mud and people get stuck in the snow ALL the time!! I thought that if we get a good snow, I'm going to take the snow blower at work and make a big ol pile and bury the truck in it and see if I can get out. I've got a SkyTrak rough terrain fork truck to pull me out if I have to. Ain't no way in HeLL I'm gonna let someone in a dodge or ford get a pic pulling the Yota out though. Looking forward to seeing some more REAL vids of people using crawl, not the ones where they get out on a 30 deg slope where gravity helps too. I still think the feature is a little bit of a gimmick in that it's not something that the vast majority of Taco owners will ever engage due to an actual need, but if you ever DO need it, gimmick or not, it's there as a tool.

Tried mine while stuck in mud for 5 to 10 min and went no where, Walked 7.4 miles that day. I ended up getting oil field pumper in a colorado to pull me out. Looking to put a lil more lift, mud terrains and a bumper with a winch on before next deer season. May work in sand but seems useless in deep mud.

That's exactly what I was afraid of. I'm afraid that snow would be a lot like mud too, get that ice glaze beneath and around the wheels and I'm thinking that's it!! Bet after all that walking, you didn't care that it was a colorado that was pulling you out. Of course, he probably wasn't taking pics of it either, LOL.

I think you're spot on about the mud vs sand effectiveness. Thick mud will clog the tires making them slicks and useless. C.C. can't help that.
