Yeah my buddy (80 series) who's been going for decades new more about the locations said there tons of spots to explore. Wind caves were one, popcorn or mushroom rocks (can't remember now). The kids had a blast ages ranging from 9-16. They made friends with a few kangaroo mice at camp. Tracked a rabbit and they all gave chase lol.

Truckhaven was awesome! We didn't do anything too crazy, but it was nice to finally get the truck out and dirty. I liked the open-ness and freedom to take which ever path/obstacle you preferred. Reminded me of Baja Cali and Pismo (back in the day before the lock down).

I see built trucks every once and awhile downtown. If you ever happen to be down around Sante Fe between 4th and 6th, you may see mine :spy:

@GHOST SHIP random question but was curious if I recall correctly. On your white truck did you paint the grill surrounding and or front bumper... if so we need to talk, lol

Yes I did my man! I got your back on that: I didn't mess with all the fancy expensive color match stuff and I only use Plasti-Dip on the handles of my wrenches. It turns out that Rustoleum Gloss White is an almost perfect match to Toyota's Super White. I separated my grill, sanded the shit out of the surround- 2 coats of white primer and 3 coats of paint and I never had an issue. Actually did the same thing with the black truck. I have one small rock chip since doing it on this one, but the white one never showed any damage the whole time I had it. In this weather it's probably an all day project only because your dry times suffer in the cold, but actual "work" time should be 1.5 hours or so. You can drink beer and play Call of Duty while the paint dries. Let me know if you need help- we can knock it out together. Actually I might even have a white grill surround left over in my garage If I can find it. Not sure in what condition it's in, but it might need some touch ups.

I didn't paint the bumper on my truck though- had factory paint on that. There's a lot of flex in the plastic there even under normal driving conditions and cheap paints will crack and flake off if not done correctly.

    Finished the series lastnight...

As I was watching, I just kept thinking that this has to be fake. There's no way this level of ridiculousness could happen in reality.

    It's so crazy

I had the opposite thought. Proof beyond reasonable doubt just wasn't there. Not to mention, the shit show of an investigation and evidence gathering. Holes everywhere. That 'thin blue line' tho...

Not gonna debate it cuz it was a massive shit show indeed, but CAREFUL bashin the blue line brother! You deal with a much more professional standard of police in socal though, that's for sure. Lots of face palms with that sheriffs dept

True, not all people in positions of authority and government are bad. A few bad apples and all that...

I feel most of the public has an inherent respect and trust for law enforcement and government (maybe not this admin tho). I mean, the public has an expectation that police are there to protect them. So when that bond is broken, the effect is that much greater. And sadly, people are far too often tried in the court of public opinion. Instead of having the presumption of innocence.
