Got it..I'll have to hit the local Home Despot for that and see if the tape measure trick works. Much obliged.

Now to solve my faucet issue..my dishwasher adaptor aerator has a small screen and the water sprays out too fast. I threw on a regular aerator with a 1.5 gpm screen and much better, so can I get a 1.5gpm piece and drop it in the dishwasher metal one?

Here we have to have a 10mm ( 3/8" ) rainscreen by code . 1x2's are fine but what is really economical is 1/2" plywood strips because you can use up all your oddball scraps and rippings

Here we use a perforated aluminum J moulding for the bottom drain , you can get different sizes from 3/8" - 1" . If you can source some locally get the drain size that will work with your strapping size ( ie 1/2 j moulding for plywood or 3/4" j moulding for 1x2 )

    Looks like this

Use that top and bottom , for the drain and air intake at the bottom and vent at the top . Use solid corners at your wall corners to provide decent backing for any corner trims ( ie use 1x4 of 4" plywood strips )

I usually install my windows at sheathing plane and then run a solid strip of strapping material around the bottom and both sides

The head flashing at windows and doors needs to go on so that it tucks under your primary WRB , and you need to use another section of j mould above doors and windows to allow moisture out / air in .

You need to figure out a trim detail to allow the top of wall j mould to vent , don't vent the rainscreen into the soffit , make s termination at the eaves

also I like to allow gaps between the straps vertically to allow some cross ventilation

Thanks. Sounds like a good idea.

I found a local supplier for the "j" flashing.

I don't understand. Is your dishwasher a portable one where you roll it to the kitchen sink and hook up the supply?

If you have one like that, I'd remove the aerator completely for the DW. All an aerator does is prevent splashing when filling a glass or something. It's just an air/water mixer..... Your DW won't know the difference. :)

It is. My old sink had the adapter for the dishwasher hookup. I changed the faucet and kept that adapter, when using the sink now the water stream is all over the place and splashes out of the sink.

I tried using the screen added into it and no dice. Tonight I got a 1.5gpm aerator (non hookup) at Home Despot and the stream is perfect. As it stands now I'll have to swap the piece out to use the DW..which if that's the fix so be it but have to think it can be one for all

If you feel confident enough with plumbing, you should go under the sink and install a 'T' on the hot pipe and a quarter-turn shut off with adapters to accept your DW Line.

You'll never screw around with removing and installing the aerator on the fixture again for each wash.

Just put my Lee Valley free shipping order in. Nothing major, but the sawzall pruning blade, a Simple Scribe, a couple more mini plier/snips (the set I got for Christmas was good, Japanese make, I filled it in with a couple more), metal bender for the vise, and some wireless hinge LEDs for inside cabinets. Mounts to euro hinges, but you can put them elsewhere. I may try one in my Tacoma console.

That I have not a clue how to do. It looks like the adapter one is narrower than the regular, so if I can get an adapter one the same width that is the cure.

Do the bases have the yellow tab with the star where the battery attaches ?

The battery bases are black with the star, which also works, I believe. Or maybe that was the bottom of the impact driver. I'll pull everything out of the box and review the video again tonight at home.

I learned the joys of a tractor towed chain harrow today. Didn't get any photos, but my yard and horse pasture has been hurting with rain, then freezing, then rain again and horse poo all over the place.
About 45 mins fixed 3+ months of damage...

    Oh...and HI!!
