hey anyone think of making a steering rack slider for a second gen?....im bored waiting for parts, my mind wonders. like putting a axle truss on cause my buddy had one that wasn't going to use, soo I plopped it on in the rainstorm yesterday lol. but anyway rack slider....couple thick pieces of DOM 1.75x.25" stationary and a 1.25x.25" inner slider....couple zerks on the outer. weld the stationary to the frame via a few tabs? what do you guys think? or is this totally unnecessary? was also thinking if there was a way to incorporate a hydro assist but that might just break the livin daylights out of the rack.hmmmm....anyway heres the truss for attention

So I might end up trading the quad ive been trying to sell for a decently clean jeep xj, it has a really nice cage except for the dash tube goes over the dash and looks super bulky and not stealth at all, you guys think it wold be too much work to have someone cut that tube out and run it behind the dash?

I think I might just sell the quad outright since its worth more, 08 ltr 450 with 15 hours on it... this is the jeep, would make a fun second car for camping and stuff

What truss is that? Is it just welded with the stitches shown and on the ends?

Yea the stitches, ends and the actual truss where it tapers from the top, it's 1/4" plate, it's trail gears rock assault truss for factory yota axles...technically it doesn't fit but it does with minimal grinding around the pumpkin cutout

Just completed the prototype for a member on here. 1st gen V6 4WD manual trans trucks. This is a perfect compliment to my solid motor mounts and is based around the same hard polyurethane bushings. Bolts to the stock factory cross member (new bolts will be supplied) and to the aluminum transmission case. No modification/fabrication required. Have a truly solid mounted drivetrain for serious off-roading and more positive throttle response. The 3.4L manual transmission and T-case is extremely heavy and is a lot of weight to be supported by solid motor mounts alone! I have personally cracked the aluminum housing from over flexing of the stock tranny mount and in conjunction with broken/over flexing motor mounts...this will cure all those possible problems common with heavy off-roading/hitting whoops/jumping.

    Price is $425, I take PayPal ryan_tfg@hotmail.com

    Message my inbox if interested!
