What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

It's an older CBI model that's no longer made, as far as I know. Goes well with the All Pro tube sliders and front bumper.

Front and rear diff fluids changed along with transfer case. New steering rack bushings. New plugs. Front diff drop. ECGs clamshell diff bushing to replace needle bearing. Relocated rear diff breather. Bpv bracket. Dropped carrier bearing down a bit. All done by Disturbed Industries. Pretty much my new mechanic.

 

Did the clamshell bushing take care of the noise coming from under the floorboard, that seems to be so common?

In Colorado emissions are based on the county you live in. Not the state. I moved from Colorado last year, it's kinda funny that all people in the big city can't pollute but all the folks in the small towns in the mountains can.

 

Thanks for the heads up, but at this point, I'm going to only bother doing things right. King or ADS is in my future.

 

Hating on fox....

 

Sounds good! I would like some ADS's but my OME have a lot more capability and life left in them!

 

It's hard to argue when most of the guys that utilize their suspension are running one of those two...

 

Fox is at least in the running, unlike Icon.

My OME setup has neither. Beat to shit and can't keep up with what I want to do anymore. I have been spending too much time chasing people with proper midtravel getting beat up when I could be having fun.

That's interesting. It's similar here in California with each County having differing standards for frequency and involvement of smog checks (some are obd only, some are non dyno). Though the standard for pollutants is set by the state CARB and enforced by the state BAR. As far as I know there areare no totally exempt counties.
