I'm not, but you can with very slight rubbing.

Mine will likely have been through mud and clay by the end of the week, I'll keep you updated.

Just installed today, 265/75 E rated authorities, gonna do the chalk test to find proper PSI but what Walmart set them at is good for now.

Took mine to our property today, we have clay and slick mud.
Worked great, I drove most of the time in 2WD, and a little in 4x4, at about 15MPH the tires start to clean out, they grip good and clean out good as well.

So far the only drawback I've noticed is they don't grip as well as the AT's for dry braking, but I think that's because of the tread depth, they grip 10x better on dirt than the AT's.

I noticed a bit of that when they were still new. Once they break in a little and you get the right air pressure figured out, they stick to the pavement way better than the BFG AT.

Yes and i'm certainly not complaining about their performance there! they clean out pretty decent esspecialy if you keep the psi low (i run 8 psi off road regularly-stock wheels).

    yes. 2001 sr5 4x4 and i haven't had any rubbing-even off road 265/75/16 load c.

How many miles did you get out of them? And if you've tried the duratracs which did better in the mud?

Still running them, over 50,000 miles, and the Duratracs aren't that great compared to the Authorities. I've got the Duratracs on my work Tacoma and they have been nothing but problems. I wish the Authorities came in a size that our automotive inspector would approve for my work truck.

our wal-mart is pretty good...there are so many regulations that WM has to follow that i think you'll be ok as well...but if you don't feel comfortable having them do it for any reason then don't and take it somewhere else...i have had no problems with our local wal-mart(s)(4) but everywhere and everyone is different...

Been really happy with my tires, had them for ~1,200 miles now and no wear.
Great offroad, I got stuck for the first time last night (My fault though).
Today I was driving through some soft stuff and bogged in 4x2 so I put it in 4x4 and locked the diff, just sat there and spun so my passenger got out and pushed a little, that got us 1ft and stopped again, try rocking back and forth and nothing, just before we decided to hook up the winch and winch out I decided to try to power it out.
In 4 low with the diff locked I pinned it and rocked the steering wheel, it spun up through 2nd gear and about the top of 2nd the tires started cleaning out and pulling, pretty happy with how it pulled.

I currently have them on my 05 Tacoma and was driving up a fairly steep mountain road with about a foot of snow fairly easy

I had these on my 98 yukon and never got stuck in sugar sand, had them on the back of my s10 and never glt stuck in mud or sand. But when i had them on my yukon i couldnt ever get them to balance right. After 75 mph the front end would shake. Ended up cracking my dash from a bad balance. Albeit those chevy dashes crack very easy.

These tires are great, but they do seem to be picky on balance. 1 of my tires takes like 1 tiny weight and 1 takes 3 giant weights and still seems to shimmy a bit on the highway. I gave up trying to let the Walmart techs balance them, I kept having to go back and they would still be wrong. I take mine to TiresPlus and pay to get them balanced. They stay balanced for a while but as they wear I periodically have to take them back for another balance.

What's weird is I had a similar issue when I ordered them. I ended up getting pissed and cancelling my order. I waited a few more weeks and decided I still wanted them so I reordered. This time it didn't take long and when I showed up to get them I noticed at least 3 other full sets just sitting there collecting dust. o_O

Really considering these tires. My local Walmart only has the 6-ply tire in stock and the 10-ply ones are a bit more expensive? Which ones are you guys running?

I'm running E load (10 ply), cheaper and with what I put my truck through I wanted the extra plys.

6 ply is much better if you don't off-road or regularly haul very heavy (too heavy for a Taco) loads. Even if you off-road the 6-ply will air down better and give you a better footprint than 10-plys will. As light as our Tacos are, the only advantage to 10-plys is if you really, really, think you need a heavier sidewall for cut resistance. Even then the Authorities/Duratracs aren't that tough compared to other choices.

i have 6 ply load C... better flex for more traction off road and on and >9lb lighter per tire for better acceleration/ fuel economy and also being less abusive on brakes, bearings, ball joints, and general drivetrain vs. a 10 ply tire.

It's been raining like crazy here lately so I've been driving in the rain. I'm surprised how hard it is to break these tires loose on wet roads. They get my approval for wet traction.
