LOS ANGELES OFF-ROAD COMMUNITY

If there is one silver lining in all the cop hate out there, and I am a police officer fyi so it means something to me, is that there is truly a presumption of innocence now. People don't trust police like they did and if there isn't video or audio of the incident, it just didn't happen. While this is extremely frustrating every day, I do feel like those ridiculous convictions that are overturned 30 years later due to overwhelming evidence are getting less and less possible. Again, really reaching for a silver lining, but if there is one, that's it.

 

I need to watch it now. From what I gathered from the trailer- it mirrors the West Memphis 3 case. Shitty police work in Small-Town, USA with minimal resources. Gives the rest of us a bad name...

I am setting this trip up for the last weekend of February 2016. camping Saturday night and Sunday night, returning Monday.

Also, AB is the only national park in CA that you can still free camp (in designature areas). There are reserved camp locations too. Which have shitters and showers. Reserve America website should have what's available.

#1 rule is leave no trace.

#2 you have to bring a fire pit in. You CANNOT dig a pit. We took an old stainless steel washer drum. From the size of this group you may need 2. I bought a mix of Pine and Eucalyptus from South Bay Firewood on Rosecrans in Hawthorne. Bring a shit load 3/4 of my short bed was just wood.

There are restrooms and stuff at Wolf wells camp ground. For those that bring girls and dont have camper trailers, like myself. Those bucket things are the pits man disposing kof the used is bad....... bag full of shit and piss can be difficult to get rid of.
