I understand about typical post rain run off buddy...I've surfed my whole life I understand it well but the TJ river is 100+ times worse than I fear you are aware of. I am not referring to Baja as a whole just specifically the TJ river which is widely know to have industrial waste dumped directly into it from manufacturing in TJ with little to zero control from the Mexican govt.

You should google the history of the pollution issues with the TJ river it is alarming and one of the most polluted estuaries in the country. All fubar'd with cross border border politics and a lack of any accountability on their side every time we walk away from the table. It has been at times a catastrophic environmental issue. That list of pathogens is unfortunately not just a post rain event issue ..it is 24/7/365 in that river.

I actually work in the environmental sector and can attest to this. I tried to even do a pro bono effort to assist in remediating some of the impacts to the estuary and had to walk away due to the cross-border political crap storm. It's unfortunate, but I don't think much will ever be done to deal with that until TJ is actually a developed city (in the 1st world sense).

I did say you are right. It's just too bad the border wasn't moved north a couple more miles so we wouldn't be shelling out millions after each rain. Who would've guessed what would happen now back in 1848?

I had a members only polo shirt with matching jacket from there when I was in my early twenties. Just consider it a gift with frequent flyer miles. I used to love that place.

Well the rain yesterday wasnt nearly as bad as on Tuesday, wonder what we got coming today, doesnt look so bad on the doppler. On Tuesday I had to build up a bunch of towels and 4x4s to keep my garage from flooding.
On another note I bet the riding will be epic tomorrow somewhere!!

It seemed different here in San Marcos... Tuesday was just steady all day, not hard rain at all. Wednesday was sunny early then raining by noon, heavier than Tuesday, with thunder. Hope you solve the drainage issue Jason!

I think someone hit a transformer last night by my house as every light in a square mile was out. For a few hours. Woke up not knowing what time it was as all my clocks were reset.

Anyone have the hook up on an alignment? I will need one on Sunday after I do my wheel bearings and tie rod ends. (I just lifted as well)

I had mine done at Align-Tech in Escondido after Jason installed the 5100s raised to .85" on my 2010 Tacoma. Discount Tire in San Marcos had referred me there with a discount card when I went there first for an alignment (they don't do alignments)... I think it was $80 after the $20 discount??? Don't quote me on that exact price. They gave a computer printout of the before and after figures. Good experience but the owner did want me to get some more work done there (naturally), as he heard the bad wheel bearing that Jason replaced later.

That guy is a fellow coastie, he works on the same base as me. The camper is pretty sweet but he needs to spend a little on some suspension upgrades.

So there really was a bad bearing? I don't know that it's a knock on the owner in that case. $.02

And $80 for an alignment? Wow, what a rip. You can get a hand done alignment at True Line for $55.

I talked to Trueline yesterday and they told me 60. Not bad except I have to get my truck to El Cajon lol. Would be a good excuse to go to Antonelli's though.

I've had quite a few shops do alignments over the years. I haven't had one done anywhere other than TrueLine for over 2 years. They just get it, they don't use a machine that just sets to stock specs, that actually set it to what your vehicle needs.
