Buddy's alternator gave out so had to get AAA to tow him home. SCOR also helped us out by towing the tahoe to the main road

 

Water/mud cause the problem?

It wasn't the orginal problem as we had to jump start it right before we hit the trail. But it definately didn't help it.
The Tahoe died down when we were heading out, managed to get it to start again but battery wasn't getting charged when driving... thannnn it completely died

 

same thing happened when I was with my dad and his friends on a remote road once, they just kept swapping the battery between the two trucks to get it to the city and to an auto parts store.

Yaaa we jump started it a few times, than made a post on SoCalOffroadRecovery and got a guy to pull the tahoe to the main road so he could call AAA

 

Shout Out To All The Assholes Who Passed By @Dangerousd1987 , My Friend And I When We Had Our Hazzards On Without Even Asking If We Were Okay..... Some Of Them Were Tacomas Unfortunately

 

I asked my dad why he just didn't jump start it and see said cause that wouldn't work, jump starting won't charge the battery, but if you let the good vehicle charge it, you can let the other run the battery down, then start the process again. pain to change out a few times, but was a great idea.

 

I did the same when in Baja. Was a pita but worked great.
