Yeah, I think I spent 90% of my time trying to find a grinder with a cut off wheel on it. It didn't occur to me that I'd have to cut off the nut on top when I packed my tools. Figure I can do the next one in under 20 minutes.

Do you need a couple jack stands? I have 4 of the Michelin 3 tonne stands if you're heading towards the valley anytime in the near future

So, how are you supposed to tighten up the castle nut on the UCA ball joint when the bolt spins?

Edit: Oh, I see... it's tapered and you just have to push the pieces together so that it binds

If it still wants to spin you have to clean up the threads on the castle nut and bj!

Yeah, I clean threads all the time... might be an obsessive compulsion! This one worked fine once I pushed the taper down into the cavity.

Now I just gotta wait 'til I can get at that coil compressor...

So I got this welder... it works well (for being Mastercraft) but it doesn't do what I want it to do (I was hoping I'd be able to tig weld with it but when I set it up it just doesn't have the juice).

Comes with a really cheap mask type thing, chipping hammer and brush, and the handle and nessecary hardware for the top.

I just want to trade for something, don't really care what it's worth, just cool or neat or useful!

    Anyone interested?

If only I had a mig welder and some beer I might be able to get to a party!

Finished the strut install earlier today. A weld nut broke free inside the frame when I was removing the sway bar, so I can only tighten one of the bolts on that bracket. Other than that everything seems fine.

That happened to me when I was removing the diff from the Supra!

They're a pain in the ass. You don't need a sway bar anyway ;)
