YO! Any of y'all with dogs take them hiking? I'm in Brentwood and we usually take the dogs to Black Diamond, but looking for new and exciting places. My damn dogs will hike 10 miles and not even pant! :annoyed:

My old girl is too arthritic for 10 mile hikes these days but we went all over the east bay parks. Redwood, Tilden, Sibley, and Pt Isabel were our favorites. Most of EBRPD is super dog friendly and off leash is ok!!

Dog friendly parks dot the East Bay like acne on a 14 year old pizza eating twerp. Unfortunately, if you decide to try and find a dog friendly park in San Mateo county it might take a while. There are only a few; and those that do, you will be dodging the downhill mountain bikers(no disrespect to DH mountain bikers, just remember there is potentially slower traffic ahead). When I used to chase my old pooch around the hills of the east bay, I preferred Briones, Tildon, Redwood and Coyote Creek. Good trail hunting and hope many happy wags of tails.

No Oaktown love here today! We moved from our last house in Northeast San Leandro (Estudillo Estates) and spent a lot of time in Oakland:
    -Rockridge (brother lives there)
    -Knowland Park/ The Zoo
    -Jack London Square
    -Temescal
    -Skyline
    -Laurel Heights
    -Maxwell Park
    -Chabot
    -Grand Lake

So many great places. Go to the Grand Lake farmers market and ride a bike around the lake on a sunny Saturday- It may change you're perspective of Oakland. You'll think the town is chock full of gays and hipsters.

There are some people that make Oakland shitty- but so many that make it great.

Oh I love Oakland. But this area is far from anywhere I'd choose to take my enemy.

Yeah, I know the spot. Drove into there by accident. To survive in that area, you have to get loc'd-up. I, however, lock'd up my car doors and got the fuck out.

Lots of love for Oakland! Dad was a Skyline High Grad, parents met working for Oakland Unified, my son was even born there. Lots of good stuff there.
In high school, we used to go to a market in the ghetto to get alcohol . I'll never forget one of our classmates got the absolute shit kicked outta him for no apparent reason at that market right after we left. Didn't even rob him, just knocked him down and went bat shit crazy on him. He wouldn't go there after that. But we still needed alcohol :D
And if you're ever forced to go to Highland Hospital ER it's gauranteed epic people watching!

My buddy wanted to ditch his light bar that was integrated in the bumper so he could install a winch. We had to cutout the fair lead opening. Had a Toyota plate made to cover the light bar opening.

Oakland is way better than Richmond. And while I can't wait to get the hell out, it does have some redeeming qualities if yo stay outta da hood.

I think it does too. Threw some Amber lights behind it to help. His brother drew it up on cad. He found a CL guy in Elk Grove to cut it out.

To be fair I've spent a disproportionate amount of time in the bad parts of most of the cities outside Sonoma/Marin.

Women's shelters and halfway houses, probation departments and addiction clinics weren't in the nice parts of town, and neither are dive bars per se.

AT, as much as I'd love a set of MT's they just don't make sense for a DD. They are bumpy, loud and wear faster, which never was logical for a DD and with the amount of driving you do I could see it getting annoying.
