Looks like plasti dip to me. Or paint without a clear coat.

Thanks! I used plati-dip. I watched some videos from dipyourcar.com for technique. Apparently if you get nice even coats by spraying with a consistent 6-8 inches away the finish is still flat but has a little more shine to it. I was pleased with how mine came out.

 

Plastidip also makes their own clear coat to use over it. Will give more shine.

 

I've seen that. I like the way it looks now so I don't think I want to apply it. Any idea if that makes it tougher to peel off later?

 

I'm almost positive it makes it a lot harder to peel lol. I wouldnt bother with it either. At that point may as well actually paint it haha.

true, it's why I did not clear coat what I did, figured if I really like it, I'll paint it properly
if it decides to peel or chip.

 

I think I can tell from most of these pictures, but I just want to verify. The Sport has a black rear bumper, yes? I want to get rid of my chrome bumper and am trying to decide whether to just paint it or buy the two sport pieces.

 

yes, the TRD Sport has a color match bumper.

 

Nice. Gonna go with painting though. Just got off the phone with my local dealer and they want $280 per piece. Be around $600 after taxes for two pieces... NOPE!

Which is better, 303 or Meguiars Xpress wax that can also be used on everything except fabric..

 

I have the Meguiars express wax for the paint. Use 303 for everywhere else, inside and out, except for fabric. Works great without a funky odor.
