What the actual fuck? So even with the data presented from the experiment they said fuck it?

Iwent to San Diego MCRD and cannot imagine having females there training as well. I understand they're over at PI but coed? C'mon now..

Man I never thought that this would be happening to our Corps. I hope The Pussification of our youth through weak parenting and standards may still be stopped at our Yellow footprints if this goes through.

My opinion, It's either the males hold the standard high and the select few females will make it, or all the females will be too challenged to adapt and overcome. But I guess all we can do is wait and see.

I personally don't have feelings either way since Marines are Marines.....they should train together, they should execute missions together (and they do). The standards of getting through the indoc for 0321 are physically/mentally demanding and although I've met a lot of WMs who were seriously kick ass, every Marine I've known (WMs included) want nothing to do with lowering standards as it would harm mission success in the end (and hurt their pride of being a Marine). But seriously everyone.....you realize that we're going to have a new SecDef, SecNav, etc come next year right? The Corps will just hold out for a year and everyone in the pentagon and bases will just do an about face. It's the politicians who are always messing this up (on both sides). I'm saying to consider the political atmosphere. It's like a last minute decision to say they made some legacy.

In the end ours is not to question why, ours is but to do or die.
I am not a Marine, but I'll just put my .02 on the table.
This is just my initial thought on it. The conquests and relative superiority our predecessors achieved have allowed people to "open" or broaden (whichever you prefer) perspectives and overlook and forego some of the baser qualities of humanity (thinking that putting women in a room full of horny and very young men is a good idea, while simultaneously expecting sexual assault not to happen). Idealism and ambition are good, and it is good to integrate and make the playing field equal for women. Because too often the benefits and awards given to men over women is still very apparent in our society.

However, the road to hell is usually paved with good intentions.
Perhaps it is that the current generation is squandering the wealth and benefits earned so hard and dearly by the previous generations. But the blame can't be placed all on one person or generation it is the fault of both those who came before us and ourselves and those who will come. Those above did not mentor or teach, those in place now seem apathetic, and those to come will not know how to deal with the hole we've dug ourselves into.

I guess, in the end, we just have to learn to deal. Like people always have. And try and mitigate any disaster that will happen because of this and try and enjoy the progress or what may be touted as progress and/or benefit the changes policy makers bring.

    Haha oh forgot one thing.
When "Don't Ask Don't Tell" was rescinded, there was a whole lot of this and that. And it isn't quite on the same scale. We got briefings on how to not judge or whatever against those kinds of people. Doesn't mean that people changed their attitudes towards that whole thing. People just couldn't speak what was on their mind so much, unless it was behind closed doors with people of similar thoughts.
Don't really know where I was going with that but it's Friday and there's not a thing work-related on my mind.

I don't mind the job fields being opened to females as long as the standards remain the same. If they meet the standard who am I to sat they can't because they have a pair of boobs. Unfortunately I do not see that being enough for the femonazis. Soon they will demand that a certain percentage of women make up the whole of the mos. That's when they will force women to join those ranks. That's when the body bags will pile up.

As for the integration of boot camp? Negative. The way the instruction is given and the individual is broken down will be a bad thing for male instructors. They will have their careers ended for being too hard on the female recruits while women di will get away with murder to a male recruit. This is no good says I.

So when I say I was a rifleman during my time some new boot is going to correct me and say so you were a rifle. The armed forces are no place for social experimentation.

Perfect. Probably one the most honest things I've read on the internet.

What's wrong with infanteer as a title? I had some rocking good times with PPCLI.

OTOH, hold the line when it comes to standards. No gender, no age bias.

PI Marine here, does this mean they get rid of the female sized obstacle course too? If we are going for equality and all, one pft set of standards and one boot camp standard. Can't wait to see the amount of female lcpl that have babies from boot camp.
