^ mounting to the reflector allows me to use the OEM mouting, and therefore i am able to adjust the beam using the OEM adjustments.

also, i took great care to have the finished result as OEM as possible, hence the vacuum formed shroud. you could mount the projector as you stated and then try to hide it w/ the reflector, but the TLs are very long (over 5" IIRC) and then you run into the problem of fitment as well as weather proofing.

for all your retro questions, etc, check out HIDplanet.com/forums...all i have learned was from there...

Hey yosh, would I be able to buy one of those ebay projector headlights and one of those HID light kits from the group buy, and get similar results...such as the cut-off line that you are getting:confused:

Yes and no. The application would be correct in that you would be putting a HID setup in a projector which is ideal. Unfortunately the projector is of inferuor quality in that it is a foglight halogen projector which is not ideal and will not provide near the quality results that Yosh's setup provides.

how is the quality compared to a stock headlight...will it give the cut-off line?

Razorecko has those headlights on his truck and he posted some pics. If you search for threads started by him you can see the light pictures. IIRC, there isn't a crisp cutoff line compared to the TL projectors that Yosh used but I can't remember exactly.
