Went out for a quick rip yesterday with @speedwaygonzalez found a wee bit of snow. Gonna have to try again when there's some more maybe. The shelf roads on this loop trail can be pretty tight and ass puckering if it's icy

Currently sitting at the tire shop my tires are full of fucking pallet nails. Must have been hiding under the snow. I'm so chocked waiting to find out how bad it is. Might be buying new tires today which pisses me off cause its an expense I wasnt expecting at all

Well now I'm kinda disappointed. Tires are fine and Shiney as they can only be when you leave a tire shop lol. Got a really good quote on some 33's 1300$ do 5 ko2's and they'd nock some off the price if I got winter rim and tires for my gf and her corolla s. I'm finding it hard to keep running the 265's even though they've got like another years worth of driving on them at the least. Tacoma problems I tell ya

Went for another not so much quick rip in the snow. We started with about 8 trucks and quickly had that number reduced to 4. Things people learned today. Proper tires are everything. Also genreal grabber red letters suck ass. Lol my bfg at ko's performed perfectly as I've come to expect.

It was an interesting weekend to say the least... new years eve we arrived to our first camp spot well after dark where the Temps quickly dropped to around -10-14... but with the fireball flowing we managed to stave off freezing to death long enough to get setup and get a fire going. Only to run to bed at exactly midnight because 6 hours of huddling around the fire was exhausting

    20160101_091206_d29941a54812b79f2ca82143007346802d75b66b.jpg

We woke up to a lot of ice all over everything got a fire and some chow going before starting to pack up and try and make out way to the hot springs which was out eventual destination. On the way we ran into a couple other groups who informed up the trail was clogged with people who were totally under prepared for winter wheeling conditions and a 1ton with a camper was actually blocking the trail with 15 other trucks scattered across various ditches. So we decided to head up further and go play in some pow

    20160101_125005_58eecfb77cc8f1525c9b8d346be5c7fa6bb3a5c7.jpg

We were forced to stop when we were plowing more snow than driving over. ON the way down my Trac control started going all fucky. Stopped for a snack and a beer to check things out

    20160101_140751_532bd1b62846f3703849e5560a42da18bd9bdaeb.jpg

Ended up being all the wheel sensors were just packed with ice and snow so onward we went. The hot spring Trail was still clogged so we headed down a deactivated road and found ourselves a sweet little spot to camp

So again we tried for the hot sprigs. Only to find a dodge 1 ton hung up on the frame on an ice shelf before the last water crossing to get to the springs. Which was also middle of the door deep. While trying to figure out what to do our 4runner friend got sucked into a ditch. Which because it was so icy made it super difficult to recover. After an hour we got him free and started working on the Dodge as every other passe by had left him for stuck for good. We gave him a lesson on airing down and using 4lo... fired up the tiger torch (yes we brought a tiger torch) and melted away the shelf and cut some logs to give him some traction took a couple tries but we got him out and everyone down safe.. I would have liked to have made it to the springs but it was still a great weekend... I'm also gonna get off my ass about installing my winch would have made things super easy today
