I know I can get two weeks off. I could take a month off. My boss is great like that. The difference is I'm a seasonal hire. Limited time is allotted for me to make money to get me to la.

Unlike ben who will go back to his plush engineering job any time of the year.

I don't have the luxury of the job security. Or much left in savings

It still works but the whine in 4lo is def not okay. It straight sounds like metal on metal rotating...seems like it's getting louder...no metal shavings tho

 

I think you need to get past your feelings about Ben's situation. He has a lot less flexibility than you do.

 

Think that's just a 95-97 thing. Check the fluids though. My my tcase has always been loud. Just the way it is.

Spring break? Dream on dude. Middle of school. Super broke and still in St. Louis. No where near you guys or Frank for that matter unless your buy plane tickets and gas and a tow truck if I break haha

Not for me to say all by myself. But it is interesting that you ask this.

Up until now, our annual 'big trip has been somewhat of a consensus. A moab, utah, Az (mentioned today) could be I suppose. I have suggested earlier today that Moab alone could be done in one week. The weekend before and the weekend after being travel days.

How do you feel about it. Are you advocating that returning to Moab should be our big trip?

For me, Rubi is something I would like to do someday but saying that puts it somewhere in the future. I do not feel I am quite ready to tackle it yet. It is on the bucket list but it is also an imtimidating prospect. I would add, it doesn't really fit what we had traditionally done on our adventures.

I trip back to Canada is much more intriguing. I feel we left a lot on the table last year. Mucho unfinished business there.

Monte, I kno you've been wanting to do Rubi, are you feeling out numbered by this? Are you at all interested in returning to Canada? Following Rickashay to his special spots? And more?

 

X2. Plenty of us would be happy to join you guys or show you around. I know you've done the Alpine Loop, which is NOT the best Colorado has to offer IMO.

Regardless, I enjoy the online planning so I can lurk and see what happens. And I also need to make a Wyoming explorative trip this year.

 

I need some guys to show me around up north too...

I really want to do rubi guys. A) my truck is running great and is more the capable b) I seriously don't know if and when I'll be able to do a big trip for a long time. Sadly.

Id love to go back to Canada.

Utah and Colorado have lots of stuff. But the only way I will even consider do Utah ir Colorado is if we actually do something hard trail wise. Holy cross. Moab rim. Something. I not doing All forest service roads again.

That said the rubi area and Nevada have tons of trails to offer. And northern Cali too. Lots of beautiful areas around there.

I'm still pulling for rubi over anything.

Should be a few fun trips. Just keep an eye on the wyo thread for that.

Have you done holy cross? Really wanna run that trail.

That trail is pretty tough from what I've heard but your truck could probably make it with spotters and good lines!

 

I know I could. Know plenty of guys who've done it with similar rigs. Looks super fun.

 

Yeah and would definitely make your ass pucker in some spots!!!
