    The Yellow wire mod (4-low trac mod)... is for NON-ATRAC equipped 4WD Tacomas 2009 +. It tricks the truck into thinking it is in high range (where there is TRAC limited slip) when it is in low range... so you get the benefits of limited slip in Low Range. Otherwise only the Off Road TRDs have traction control in low range.

    Seriously, if you're planning on 35s, you should seriously consider going with 4.88s instead of 4.56s. 4.56s will basically put you back to close to stock gear ratio with 33s (starting from 4.10s, IIRC). With 35s, you'll effectively be taller than stock gears again.

    2nd gen V6 have 3.73 gears. The auto and manuals have a different final drive ratio and opinions will vary. I would play with an RPM calculator, type in the ratios and tire size and decide what works best.

    One o these days, I'mma figure out I don't know chit about 2nd Gens :facepalm: (except they are too big and heavy :D). 3.73s? In a TRD OR? My 3.90s suck and I'm a 1000 pounds lighter. I figured the 2nd Gen lead sleds would for sure be 4.10s, especially in a TRD OR with an automatic. :notsure:

    But then again, I was shocked to learn I had 3.90s. I had thought that all the 1st Gens pretty much came standard with 4.10s except the odd 4 banger/auto that might have 4.30s in it.
