no, it isn't. If you get an amp that accepts line inputs or you can get a device that converts the speaker level to a line level. Someone else around here pushes that thing. I forgot what it is called.

    I have this one:

It's a 10" sub. Its formed to fit in the area behind the rear seats in a Double Cab. I think i paid $195 for installation and an Amplifier. (at a local shop) The box itself was around $230.00 (on eBay)

I have an '08 DC. I purchased a box from MrMarv, I am reusing two IDQ v.2 10's from a previous install in my Acura. They originally retailed at around $150 a piece and can be had now for under a 2 bills for the pair. Amp wise, I have not decided. I have an ESX Q75.2 or an Infinity amp that both put out similar power (300w @ 2ohm bridged). The Infinity amp was about $200 on crutchfield two summers ago. (the ESX was purchased more than four years ago but I think I stole it for $150)

I have not gotten around to switching out my deck, but that will come to fruition in short order.

So total new, I have around $800 invested in the subs for my Taco... damn that feels like a lot of money at this point.

But today's pricing, it is more like $500, so that makes me feel better.

He built the box to meet some specs that I needed, it has about .5 cuft per enclosure (two seperate enclosures with amp rack between). Can't tell you the mount depth, let's just say it has enough room that my subs won't rub the seat back and have enough clearance on the back side as to not over heat.

Details on what, where to buy? I think they can be found on ebay or various car audio forums. I could probably track one or two down for you in the next few days if you are looking for the V.2 specifically.

I ran my power wire yesterday and have the boxes nearly ready to install. I'll post pics at some point in the near future of the whole process.

I took pics of the process, but I haven't uploaded the pics yet. I did a double amp system (one amp per sub) and they both fit nice and snug on the amp rack. It looks pretty cool IMO. I'll try to have them up this week.
