I dig it just because it will force people to look up from their phones and not hit you in the ass. Want something similar for my motorcycle.

The one I got is extremely customizable, so I was able to mimic the fire truck flicker perfectly. It also has an accelerometer in it so you can also set it to do special flashes under medium and hard braking. I just have mine set to have a "dazzle" effect if I'm braking around .5 Gs. It's pretty neat.

I had to make a makeshift switch setup so I could configure and test if first. I made a thread with a vid of the switch and stuff. Just used a 9v battery for the source.

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NUNDVCI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_wdsKwbB2C0ACX

If I get a motorcycle I'm definitely getting another one of these.

I'm up here getting new tires, techs tell me my axle seal is blown. Can Toyota dealer techs install an axle seal to save their lives? What gives?
This is the second axle seal I've had in less than a year.

Diff breather not working? Grove wore in the sealing surface?

I was actually thinking about the diff breather being clogged.. It's always been the driver side seal that start leaking. I didn't think about a groove being worn though. How would you be able to check?

By pulling axle. See if your fingernail catches the Grove.

Ive found its safer and cheaper to assume dealer techs can't handle tying their own shoes.

Yeah, when you lift, the stock UCAs become the limiting factor. 1.3/1.6* of caster is fine for a stock height truck but a bit low for a lifted truck. Personally, I prefer more. It becomes a bit twitchy over uneven surfaces and side winds. if you are happy with the way it drives, that is what's important.

I've had a similar experience. My driver side seal started leaking last summer so I had a shop replace both sides. All new bearings in the process. Well, driver side failed within 2300 miles when I was in Canada on an expedition. This time took it to a Toyota dealer up there. So far, no more trouble. :fingerscrossed:

It is my understanding that it is an easy job to screw up. At least that is what I've been told by the lead Toyota tech who fixed it the second time. Here's the carnage from the second fix.

I dunno an axle seal is one of the easiest fixes on our trucks. It could be mud, a bad bearing, a grooved shaft, an a cheap seal or a few other things.

Finally fad up and welded in the new motor mount perches for the 3.4. Time to put this truck back together for good and see if it starts up.

Eh, I feel like the difference is marginal and you can angle the bar however you want it.

Interesting the feedback I'm getting. I didn't really think it mattered either way to me. I will flip it to bottom and see how it looks out of curiosity.
