I was going to rig up one of the cheap drone gimbals, but opted for the hand held version. I used quick fists to mount the handle on the roof rack. That way I can take it off for hand held shots.

Need to figure out a solution for downhill shots though. The truck went out of frame and the video just shows a still horizon. :D

Buy a cheap 2 axis gimbal and tune it. You can set parameters to prevent it from tilting to a certain degree.

Now that you say that I remember that my gimbal has that option. I can set it to stay focused at one angle.

Looks like I'm in need of a new floor jack. I have a 2.0 ton Arcan aluminum jack from Northern Tool that has a bad piston. Apparently you can look all you want at the parts diagram, but you can't actually buy any of the parts.

So... any recommendations on a new jack? It needs to be a lightweight jack as I have to carry the damn thing up and down the stairs to work on the truck.

So I bring my truck into toyota of Dallas for my airbag light being on. Told the service person, they said they'd take care of it. Cool. I get it back 2 HOURS later saying they only replaced the tire and truck load sticker and that they knew nothing of said airbag sensor issue. FUMING PISSED...

Just look at the build thread
When you're welding overhead and a piece of molten steel falls down your sleeve. Then you try to get it out and it falls into your glove and you can smell your skin burning while you're trying to get the glove off...
