Thanks for the clarification. I think this mod will require a mod. I'm thinking of either a dash mounted on/off or maybe one in the bed. Probably shouldn't be that hard to put it on the wires leading to the hitch plug.

Well got mine done

 

$40 bed mat

 

I used black duct tape to shape my 2010 headlights into 2012-2015 headlights today.
Edit: I might use plastidip instead of duct tape. Duct tape doesn't look good up close and is too shiny.

I bought the rubber matting from Tractor Supply. They have a few different thicknesses to choose from. Mine came to $32 for my short-bed. Works great. No more sliding...

 

Yes. Took a total of about 5 minutes with a hack saw.
