I need to ride more/become a better rider first. Also need to get some more armor, i want to get one of the jackets with all the hard plates in it, particularly the spine protector. Good knee pads too

I'd recommend my jacket to you but its more of a mid season jacket, you'd die in it in the Arizona heat during summer months

I'll be doing carb and cams hopefully before too awful long

    I know
she's a beast. The new tires will be interesting with all the extra power. It black tracked stock with new slippery tires, this should be interesting.

Still need to get the stainless braided brake lines on and the new brake pads.

Ive got a sedici jacket with elbow and shoulder pads but i mean one of the mx/off road jackets that are mesh and armor plates. I know fox and alpine☆ both make one. I just need to save up and get one.

You cook no matter what in the summer here. Just gotta hydrate and suck it up!

I just wear mine and stuff a camelback in my back pack. Sweat and piss breaks means less weight....less weight means more power

I'm not too worried about weight. I just wanna explore and probably camp with the bike. When i start going on multi day trips ill probably be going with a friend with a klr650. He put an 11 gallon tank on his bike!! Weighs a fuck ton when its full. Idk how he keeps that thing upright. Or gets it back up when he falls

Well...about that, the bike is a pig and with a steel frame, old suspension technology, and unknown wear, its not going to take jumping kindly. I'm 180-185lbs in my gear and its nothing for me to bottom out the suspension after a 2-3 ft of air

The 14tooth front sprocket is the go to torque mod. Period.

    Yup. Or a potato.

Plus being so heavy, its hard to move in the air.

Yea I found out this with both the 350 and now the 400 but in the soft sand the 400 seems to land a little hard but not too bad that's with about 5 ft of air and a 30 foot gap ish?

Haha yea I contemplated getting rid of it for a real 450 to have more fun in the dirt but I love riding street too so I'm kinda like :annoyed:
Can't have the best of both worlds unless I buy a brand new Honda 450 street legal

If either Honda or Yamaha made a street legal 450 they'd make a killing....

I just don't understand why they don't. Adventure bikes are killing it out there....there are still true enthusiasts like us that want a true street legal dirt bike instead....if honda made a 450x street and trail for 2016, i'd be in line.

Same thing for a yamaha wr450 street and trail.

NOT a converted bike. A true dual purpose.

I'd be right behind you with the beefed up suspension and gearing and overall speed basically a dirtbike for the street I'd love them
