I thought it was going to be a shifter related problem. Glad you got it fixed.

I think I will cover the shell brake light wire in my truck with a piece of tubing - just to make sure the wire is insulated.

@Scott B. i dig that drawer system.... Where did you get those long HD drawer slides that the drawers ride on? Also how do you keep them from rolling around when you are driving?

Thanks - I like the drawers way more than I thought I would.

I found the slides online - not cheap and heavy, but worth it.

When the tailgate is up, the drawers can't move - nowhere to go. However, when parked uphill, off camber, and you open the tailgate, you sometimes get a surprise! I found that out the hard way...

I am going to add some latches to the drawers, to keep them locked closed. Just something else on the to-do list...

I am currently debating on whether I want to build a set of drawers or use all of the stock stuff that came off of my truck to build a small off-road style trailer to mount all of my stuff in....

Trailers are nice, but they do have disadvantages - backing up on tight trails, for example.

That being said, camping is so much more enjoyable with our teardrop. Warm, dry, and the kitchen is always ready to go.

With my setup, I can sleep in the truck if I don't have the trailer. (2 can fit, but it is a little tight.)

Any trailer with a short tongue is going be to hard to maneuver when backing up. We have a tow trailer with a short tongue that we use to tow a fourwheeler and it is a Biotch to try and back that thing into our drive way. (Our drive way has a ditch on both sides) It's so sensative to any slight turn. If you can find a trailer with a tongue thats not so short it would be alot easier.
On the other hand our boat trailer has a long tongue and it's such a breeze to back it up

    Just my .02

Thanks for the advice. I'll prob make it long enough that I can 90 degree the trailer with my vehicle and it clear so I can setup a cool little camping area. And also still be able to drop my tailgate and access the gear in the back of my truck. Thanks again. Hopefully I can get started on this thing soon

HAHA thats all i was thinking about the whole time!! I miss driving my manual. To be honest though.... much easier wheeling with an auto. You just point it in a direction and press the gas ahahahaha!! :mudding:
