let me know as this is better than the other as I have a 30"bar in my crash section that the other one posted would cover, this drops below that it appears that would work well.

I'd be in for one. Although, it looks like the accessory TRD skid plate is required due to the mounting location. The stock OR skid plate has little tabs in front of the skid plate bolts to protect the bolt heads (I'm assuming) from rocks and such.

Consider it marketing research, what would you consider a fair price?

I agree, I had thought the same thing.

The way it is currently designed you are correct. I am not sure what would be needed for a similar non-skid plate installation. I have not seen that set-up up close. I suspect something could be fabricated. Or maybe the stock skid plate attachment brackets could be used. The factory skid plate does hide the mounting brackets very nicely though.

Front bilstein 5100 with OME 884 w/trim pack, 17" fuel trophy wheels wrapped with 32" toyot open country m/t, bakflip fibermax tonneau cover, Avec 30" led light bar behind lower grille, marathon seat covers in max 5 camo pattern, trimmed front and rear mud flaps, more to come.

Me have being stationed in Florida and becoming a resident I carried on with my Florida plates. Unfortunately here in Washington state they require front plates and when I bought my truck the dealer has all of their trucks with dealer plates already drilled on the front. I was disappointed for the fact that I ended up having two holes in the front bumper that looked tacky as hell and I had to buy the truck with holes already in it, which previously owned a Tacoma in Florida that the bumper wasn't touched. I know it's minor but it made me a little mad that they would already drill holes in the front bumper being in a military town but I got over it and did the best I could to put some color matched beauty plugs in the place of the holes. It sucks buying a truck out of state that requires a front plate because it already defaces the front bumper. I know it's minor but I still hate it to this day but the plugs make it bearable haha. The point is being in a military town the dealer should at least hold off on assuming that the person buying the truck is going to have front plates. I mean it wouldn't take that much to wait till it's sold then add the plates because you can't take away the holes once they are there. I know I'm being picky but damn it made me sick buying a 30k dollar truck that already had holes in the front lol

If it was at an autoparts store, I wouldn't pay more that 10 or 15 for it since it would be mass produced and it's two bent pieces of metal. From a one off guy such as yourself? 20-25. I recognize it's two bent pieces of metal that if I cared enough I could do myself. I also recognize I'm largely too lazy to do so. To me, any less and it wouldn't be worth your time, and more it would make sense for me to do it myself. 20-25 range is one of those- "sure, I could run to Lowes and buy the metal and then drive home and bend it myself, but damn, $20 and I wouldn't have the hassle? Bah, pass me the remote".

 Good info. Thanks for the reply. I guess the final piece of the puzzle is shipping. If the price was $20-25 plus shipping it might be worth doing. Including shipping would probably make not really worth doing.

I found that design before I made mine. I wanted the plate to sit a bit lower and I thought there might some wear issues over time with that design so I looked for a different solution.

Right, and then it makes it too costly- it puts it into the OMG $40ish for two pieces of metal? It's a catch 22 I guess.

Well mine save me from having to drill holes in my bumper so it was worth every stinking dollar that I spent for them and if memory serves me right they cost me 24.95

Maybe I have a touch of dyslexia, but every time I see the title of this thread, it looks like

It depends, reasonable shipping costs might make it able to be sold in the $25-30 dollar range. That might be doable.

Do you mind providing the measurements of your holes and bends?

I don't mind but.....the only copy I have is the original and it is on the truck. It is supposed to be freezing rain and snow tomorrow and I have no garage. If you are in a hurry I can give you step by step instructions, it is not particularly difficult. If you are not in a hurry I can probably get the info in the next couple days.
