I might just have my buddy that owns a body shop mix up and spray them the original color. They should originally be powder coated so I'm just going to paint over the PC and get new stickers.

I started a group buy on them to help some people save some bucks as a starting deal for the new snorkels.

 

Did you talk with a dealer about discount or is it just a feeler? I wouldn't think they would do a GB after a 10yr release date. It will most likely be MSRP for a long time.

 

I'm buying them through my company account pricing and then shipping them to the guys that want them. I can't say anything about price publicly but pm me and I'll give you a price. I don't know shipping cost to members yet because I don't have dimensions and or weights.

When someone receives one of these new snorkels can you verify that is a full 3.5"-4" system. The hilux custom application snorkel is all 2.5"-3" piping and certainly feels like it restricts flow.

Also, need to know how far down the fender it extends. Essentially, I want to know if someone with a hilux snorkel can swap out for this snorkel and cover their previous holes.

It doesn't. I've had one for years.

The only bad thing about it is all the stupid questions you get form people asking: "what's that!?!?"

 

How truly amazing. I'm overlyjoyed that your system works to your expectations.

I've had one for three days and we've done metered testing at approximately 880ft above sea level to find a noteworthy drop in the air/fuel mixture being calculated by the ECU with the snorkel hooked up in the middle to high RPMs of lower gears (I assume where the ram air effect isn't taking place).

Now if someone actually capable answering the questions I asked comes along, as these new snorkel kits start to ship out, I'd be interested in the knowledge.

@K.Ray I can't fully answer your question but I'm with you. I have the Hilux version (not installed) and feel it may have a slight air flow restriction. I have contacted the shop where I bought it and they are swapping/exchanging it for the Tacoma unit. Once I get it I can get these measurements for you.
