I have a question that is confusing me. May be something stock on tacoma but I'm not sure. The previous owner had lost the key fobs for the truck. I got replacement fobs and got them programmed. Now if I unlock the truck with the fob it automatically locks it back after 20-30 seconds. The truck is a 2008 DC offroad trd package. Any ideas. Also once it locks the doors the unlock button on the door doesn't unlock the door unless I open it manually and the it works as it should.

Yes.... they do re-lock after a short period of time. I've never timed it myself on my 07...... but I've been frustrated by that in the past.

I'm confused about your 2nd question - obviously, I'm not reading it right. There's no 'unlock door' button on the outside of the truck. You can only use your key fob or the key. There is an 'unlock doors' button on the inside of the drivers door - that unlocks all the other doors. Yes...that button should unlock all the other doors (if they're locked).

The auto-locking is normal, but I think mine takes longer than 30 seconds. It will do it if you unlock the truck but never open a door.

I'm not totally clear on what you mean by the second part.

Sorry I wasn't clear. I meant the unlock button on the inside of the door

If I'm inside the truck and it autolocks it's like it disables the unlock side of the inside door button until you open the door manually

It shouldn't auto-lock if you are inside the truck because if you unlock using the fob then open the door, it won't auto-lock.

Exactly..... Once the door is open, it won't (shouldn't) auto lock. That's weird especially on a 2008.

Must have just been a bad programming. I reprogrammed them and they are working like they should now
