I'm in Benicia. PM me if you want to come check it out. I love the idea of the sprinter van, but would hate to lose the ability to wheel. The Flippac is a great 3- season unit. Winter is challenging, but doable.

Thanks for the info. It didn't work very well today, but I was at the back of the pack. I'm planning to put a 4' Firestick on a ditch light bracket, or a 2' Firestick on the roof rack. I want to go with the bed mount bracket, but the antenna would smack into the vertical corners of the camper. Also plan to get the remote mic/ speaker. If that doesn't work, it will be my backup/ loaner too.

Remote mic/speaker is a nice addition to it. In case you were looking for an alternative and don't mind doing a little soldering on a circuit board (and immediately voiding warranty in the process) this is what I'm using now, still with the mag-mount wilson. http://amzn.com/B0140QP3VU

I went with the midland hend held cb and added a 3' wilson tunable antenna on a BAMF mount. Itll plug into the cig lighter or can you put on the battery pack for use outside of vehicle. Seemed to work well during the xmas tree run. I was last in line and could communicate with the leader of the group, which was 30somethin trucks.

Any of you guys have the Amazon Echo? My FIL got one for us for Christmas and it finally arrived. Pretty cool machine and the sound is good.

Haha more of a cylinder but yeah. It's pretty cool, you can ask it to play music, audio books, ESPN radio and a bunch of other stuff. Also set timers, add items to a shopping list and ask questions you want to know the answer to. The music is what I'll use most but it's also doing a timer for my daughters hard boiled eggs right now.

    stuff
Picked up a whole bedroom set for my mom tonight. Ended up fitting the spare in the backseat. Looking forward to not doing that.
Only downside is can't haul with the tailgate down. Rarely haul my own shit anyway. Want that couch moved?!? Buy a truck!

It definitely not ideal but you still could, most swing outs lock at 90* throw a ratchet strap on there and you could haul something with the gate down. Not the safest but it's possible.
