    That's pretty damn impressive.... No way in hell you could do that with Tacoma springs. They won't compress by our own body weight!!

    It's called leverage. The fixture multiplies your body weight.

    You'd need an awfully long pipe to multiply it enough. Did you see how wimpy those springs were?

    I need to change the struts on mine when I replace the frame in the March or April. I will build the fixture and see how well it works. If it works well I will video it. The only real change I can see that it needs is a cup at the bottom to insure the strut won't slip out. I do have a 20 ton press if the fixture doesn't work.

    Meh we apply our body weight on subaru springs. When it compress use impact wrench and walla. It easier because the springs are wide and it doesn't take much to compress them.
